Jolly's Candy Extra is a subscription service for the popular candy brand [[Jolly's Candy]], first conceptualized in 1978. In July 1978, Jolly's Candy Board member, and grandson of [[Jolly Birdwhistle|Ethel "Jolly" Birdwhistle]], [[Felix Loudtly]] came forward with an idea he called 'Jolly's Special',<ref name=":0" /><ref name=":1">BBH News, International Candy Company releases subscription service; www.bbh.co.uk/news/archive/26547182</ref> a subscription like service where they could try experimental treats and candies before they hit shelf's. Initial backlash from other board members was severe, with worries of people becoming I'll from candy and leaks being prevalent.<ref name=":1" /><ref name=":2">F. Loudtly v.
