Balatro is a roguelike card game.

It recieved the Best Mobile Game, Best Debut Mobile Game, and Game of the Year Nominee awards at the Game Awards 2024.

The game follows the player playing "runs", where they play cards that grant Chips. The goal is to get enough Chips to beat a goal without running out of Hands or Discards. Specific groups of cards can grant extra Chips and add a multiplier (or Mult). The multiplier can also be added onto with Joker cards, which can be bought in the Shop and grant extra perks and features that help get to the goal without running out of Hands or Discards.

The game has been considered "addicting" and is why many people have downloaded and uninstalled it on their devices.
