The Mario Files

The Mario Files is the name given to a set of events committed by three of the most powerful people in the United Mushroom Kingdom: Princess Peach, Toadsworth and Mario. The name "The Mario Files" comes from a leak released on bowsers-emporium.kop. It was rumoured to be a hoax at first, but before Bowser's assassination in 2025 by a unknown target, his last Shroom post was "If I disappear, die, or whatever, I've pre-emptively told my people to release a set of files. This may cause chaos, but it's up to them to decide how the tables turn."

The Toadsworth Crack Crisis of North Mushroomtopia

The Toadsworth Crack Crisis of North Mushroomtopia, or simply the MIA Crack Crisis, was an operation funded by Toadsworth and the Mushroom Intelligence Agency to drive down property values, cause inflation in the prices of medical resources, and drill for oil around the area.

Toadsworth, an oligarch and the owner of Shroom Energy, saw potential around the area of North Mushroomtopia, and was aware of an on-going operation. He contacted some of his friends within the MIA to find a way to equally benefit each other. Together, they figured out that if they could decrease property values around the area, Shroom Energy could buy them out and drill for oil, and they could drive up the costs for medical resources around the area as more lower-class people suffered from drug abuse.

As this was ongoing, riots were happening around Shroom Energy's compound at Rogueport. The leaked files report violence from Shroom Energy as they shot several rioting civilians, 3 of whom died on the scene, however no legal consequences were brought against Shroom Energy's security or the CEO himself. Shroom Energy held a press conference where they denied the ongoings, and reported that they had seen a 70% increase in investments and profit. Princess Peach congratulated Toadsworth for this.

The MIA, Toadsworth, and Shroom Energy continually deny the claims that they were a part of this, despite obvious evidence to the contrary.

The Toadstool Incident

Former leaders of the United Mushroom Kingdom, King and Queen Toadstool, had been planning to pass down their leadership to Princess Peach, although this happened much sooner than intended as the King and Queen were killed in an alleged accident where their yacht violently exploded.

Mario Mario struck a deal with Princess Peach where he would put the King and Queen out of the picture if Princess Peach would have him pronounced the police chief upon her ascension to the throne. Princess Peach wanted her parents killed for many reasons: they were getting in the way of her business activities, both legitimate and illegitimate, they almost prevented the assassination of King Bob-Omb of the Freedom Fighters, they started investing in renewable energy, they condemned the actions of Toadsworth, and they applied a 60% tax rate on oil production. Reports of Bob-Ombs being bought by a hooded man wearing a red cap with the letter M were submitted by various witnesses, including the dealer himself. Reports say the man had a strong Italian accent, sounding similar to the new police chief.

In 2023, the official annual birthday party for King Toadstool was underway on the royal yacht. Mario was known to be present at the time. Princess Peach was watching the boat remotely from the Toadstool Castle. CCTV footage recovered after the incident was found to show a man planting a set of Bob-Ombs around the boat while killing the guards. One survivor remained from the incident, however they went into a coma which they still have not recovered from.

The last words heard on the recovered CCTV footage were "Happy Birthday" before the yacht exploded, accompanied by a blast which was heard from much of the country. Princess Peach was found crying in her bedroom shortly after the explosion. On that day, she was pronounced ruler of the United Mushroom Kingdom.

Either Starmer, Pringles Minister of the United Kingdom, was asked to comment on this incident. He simply responded "Look, I don't know who keeps letting you in but just stop, you're scaring the members of Parliament."

Ethr Statrmer, Prongles Mimistair uv tha Unetid Kwingdem, was not asked, but submitted a napkin with unintelligible scribbles all over it.
