Dennis Mason (Also commonly referred to as Yoda or Yogurt) is an American shorthair cat and the current Press Secretary for the UK government (2022 - Now). He succeeded his uncle Tiger Leal, his uncle (2008 - 2022), into office after Leal's passing from natural causes in April of 2022.[1]
Following Leal’s death, Mason was appointed to the position after a parliamentary vote. Since assuming office, Mason has generally been regarded as an effective and popular Press Secretary, though his tenure has included several minor incidents involving visitors to his residence.[2]
History
Early Years
Dennis Mason was born to Thomas Mason and his second wife in a small cardboard box house in the countryside. There they lived a peaceful life along with Thomas' first wife and Dennis' 28 siblings. Till he was adapted by Natalie Deerman and her family after the death of Tiger Leal.
Boxing Career
Mason is well known for having been a lightweight boxer in his younger years before entering politics, alongside his half-sister May " Murder Mittens" Mason. He fought in 28 fights under the ring name, "The Menace," winning 7 and losing 21 ending his boxing career with a win-lose ratio of 7-21. He made several connections in the boxing world during his boxing career including, Steven Tyler III, Jadie Darley, and Theodore River.[3]
Political Career
After being elected to office in 2022, Mason worked hard in his role. Though not without controversy, as he is known to be territorial of his property. Which led to several guests invited to his home to discuss matters, getting into 'accidents'. Mostly by falling down the stairs of his London home. Over his tenure several sues have been levied against Mason, though all as of December 2025 have been dropped through political shenanigans involving Either Starmer.
