Skissue
A Skissue is a term used to refer to a troublesome issue or a particularly complex blunder, often entangled with dangerous or unusual circumstances. It encompasses not just the core dilemma but also the surrounding context that makes the situation especially challenging or sensitive. The word is both whimsical and serious, typically used to denote problems that are emotionally charged, socially volatile, or intellectually perplexing.
History
The term was first coined in 1824 by a self-proclaimed professor, Edward Skissue I, as a response to the Undertale Time-travel incident. That same year, shortly before his untimely death, he founded the Skissue Foundation, with a couple of other dedicated civilians. The organization is dedicated to the study, classification, discussion, and protection against such “Skissues.” The Foundation, also named in his honor, served as both a salon for eccentric thinkers and a repository for documented Skissues from across Europe and, later, the Americas. Though often overlooked by mainstream academia, the concept of the Skissue persisted in underground circles of the Skissue Foundation.[1]
