Wormdingler
the wormdingler is like a tablet and it's kind of a peak laptop
my main issue with the 2 cored and 32gbd storage Chromebook snappy is it's lack of storage and cores but those are solved with the wormdingler
the wormdingler has a 128gb emmc, 4 gb of ram (fucked up), and 8 cores. EIGHT whole cores.
Peakest thing ever except for the fact that it is technically a tablet with a keyboard attachment and the fact that it's arm based so you can't ruin it with windows
it DOES have linux distros like velvetos (debian) and postmarket os (alpine) though which is nice because i installed chromeos on it after a while and it instantly installed gemini so i uninstalled it
issues though: firefox will lock up the whole computer or like somehow take up every damn cylcle and take up all of the ram that i can which i can't get back because for some reason the only good linux distro (debian) that i can install has no zram and i obviously can't install swap on the emmc so it's bad
also has this weird issue where it sometimes the screen just gets fucked? like it fades out like the lcd was broken? but it's not? something weird i have to have a usbc plugged in to the chromebook and another device for it to work when that happens
| pros | cons |
|---|---|
| 8 cores | 4gb of ram |
| 128 gb of space | weird screen |
| high res | 2 usb c ports only |
| table | camera is broken in linux |
| light, removable keyboard | arm is limited |
